Umall posts 151 per cent revenue growth on grocery demand
Sydney-based e-commerce grocer Umall is seeing rapid expansion, with revenue growing 151 per cent between 2021 and 2024.
The company reported sales rising from $18 million to $40 million over the period, driven by demand for fresh groceries and everyday essentials tailored to Chinese-Australian households.
“Fresh groceries is one of the hardest categories in retail to execute well,” said the company.
“If you can build trust, maintain fulfilment quality, and serve a community properly, demand can scale in a very real way.”
