Online store for pre-loved homewares, DarlingJames, launched
DarlingJames, a new Australian online business, has launched offering sustainable, reasonably priced, high-quality vintage homewares.
DarlingJames was founded by Jess Darlington-Brown with the goal of inspiring and connecting people with pre-loved vintage wares that are more sustainable and bring with them an absolutely unique style and their own narrative.
According to the brand, Darlington-Brown will spend four months in Europe each year, departing for London in July, scouting markets, bric-a-brac and vintage stores, as well as antique dealerships, to find special pieces to add to the DarlingJames online collection and hunt down pieces sought by personal buying clients.
Every item in the DarlingJames online store has its own story, with prices starting at $30, and free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $150.
“Buying vintage and pre-loved homewares can help us achieve the unique and personal touch that we all strive for when decorating our homes, and it is much more eco-friendly – helping to lessen the number of homewares going to landfill plus reducing the need for trees to be cut down and manufacturing to create brand new items,” said Darlington-Brown.
DarlingJames’ current offer includes a silver antique toast and egg holder purchased at London’s Portobello Road Markets, silver napkin rings discovered in a London antique market, and a silver-plated jug discovered at a Bathurst vintage shop.
