Tactica launches crowdfunding campaign, plans expansion

Newcastle-based outdoor and adventure brand Tactica has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Birchal following successful growth in the US.

This equity raise will help the company expand into existing markets, capitalise on growing demand, and develop new products for the outdoors.

Created by product designer and material scientist Mike Chijoff, the brand sells 22 different outdoor adventure gear products.

The company has shipped more than 100,000 units to 100 countries registering $4 million in revenue since 2016.

Chijoff said receiving feedback and direction from the adventure community has been the brand’s “biggest asset” since the beginning.

“Previously our crowdfunding campaigns have been about developing new products, now we’re self-sufficient enough to push ourselves further and keep innovating. It’s an essential mantra of our operations that we maintain that connection with our supporters.”

Alongside the campaign, the brand has launched its first knives range featuring two folding adventure knives that boast a quality blade made with a sleek glass composite.
