PriceMe comparison site expands into Australia, Asia

Price comparison website PriceMe has launched a revamped website as it gears towards overseas expansion.

The website has so far been launched overseas in Australia, Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia, with more territories to be included in the future.

The redesign includes enhanced account capabilities such as price monitoring functions, quicker price updates, updated icons, new advertising opportunities for retailers and a cleaner, responsive set-up for mobile browsing.

The price comparison website, operated locally as NZ Compare, helps consumers make a “fully informed choice” on their online and in-store purchases.

Gavin Male, Global Compare Group CEO, said: “Since we acquired the PriceMe business just over a year ago, our goal has been to give the website a modern and clean appearance.

“We’ve got the websites up and running in five countries now and we’re increasing the numbers of retailers and products that consumers can compare every day.”

Alongside visual improvements, he said the company has added special features that can help compare the prices, features and stock levels of more products “accurately”.
