ORIAS 2019 finalists announced

Dozens of online retailers have been named as finalists in the 2019 Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS), including Showpo, Cotton On, Catch, Woolworths and Appliances Online.

The ORIAS, now in their 10th year, celebrate retail leaders across a range of categories, including best pureplay retailer, best online retail marketing, best in-store initiative, customer service excellence, and the hotly contested people’s choice awards for large and small retailers.

Up to five finalists have been announced in each category, highlighting the excellence of Australasia’s vibrant and innovative multichannel and online retailing visionaries.

Matt Smith, event director of Online Retailer, noted that this year saw a 27 per cent increase in entries per category compared to 2018.

“We continue to see a tremendous growth in recognition and unique entrants due to our partnership with Australia Post and the People’s Choice Awards. We look forward to continuing this partnership,” he said.

The winners will be announced at a gala event on July 25th in the Grand Ballroom at the ICC Sydney Exhibition Centre. The official ORIAS After Party will take place at the Marquee at The Star for the 4th year running.

Except for the people’s choice awards, which are selected by customers, the winners are chosen by judges. Last year, Showpo took home the top prize, Online Retailer of the Year, while Kogan.com won the People’s Choice Award for large retailers.

How can Glamcorner be in the “People Choice Award: small retailer”??
Small retailers have to have less than $2m of annual revenue.
It is unfair if large retailers can enter in the small retailers competition
