NZ’s Petdirect launches 24-seven online pharmacy
Petdirect has launched a 24-seven online vet pharmacy amid a surge in pet ownership in New Zealand.
Petdirect Pharmacy offers a wide range of prescription pet medications, more than double the inventory of other online pharmacies, the company said.
It also features doorstep delivery, autodeliver service, 24-seven accessibility, and nationwide access.
“We’re always looking for ways to meet the evolving needs of Kiwi pet parents,” said Dave Anderson, Petdirect CEO.
“Our move into pet medication demonstrates our ability and agility to incorporate in-demand services into our operations. This is a huge step for Petdirect, and I can’t wait to see the market’s response.”
According to the company, more than 1.4 million households in New Zealand reported owning a pet last year, up from 1.3 million in 2018. The pet medication market has grown by an average 6.3 per cent annually over the past five years.
