MyDeal pledges to plant 9000 trees
E-commerce marketplace MyDeal has partnered with Greenfleet Australia to plant 9000 trees within a year.
The project, dubbed MyDeal Forest, will help grow a native biodiverse forest and create bio-links for native wildlife across 16 hectares of land in Ngulambarra, Victoria.
The team will work with the Dja Dja Wurrung people, traditional owners of the land at Ngulambarra.
MyDeal CEO Sean Senvirtne said the company is committed to a greener future.
“Planting trees for good is an important step as part of our ESG program to reduce our carbon impact. We owe it to our customers, to our shareholders and to the planet.”
Greenfleet CEO Wayne Wescott said the venture will establish a healthier ecosystem, with richer biodiversity, critical habitat for wildlife, improving outcomes for the soil and hydration, increased carbon sequestration, and agency through land management for traditional owners.
