MyDeal launches new travel offering

Australian online retail marketplace MyDeal.com.au has partnered with market leader Ignite Travel Group on a new travel offering, MyDeal Getaways.

This marks the third diversification for the marketplace in the past month, following the launch of MyDeal Marketplace Loans through Prospa and their fashion marketplace, MyWardrobe, which saw 60 boutiques join the MyDeal Marketplace.

MyDeal Getaways will offer curated luxury escapes for the everyday consumer, featuring exclusive travel packages with incredible savings for a variety of in-demand locations including Hawaii, Queensland, Bali and more.

The luxury themed packages will accommodate a middle market by promoting affordable price points on select 4-5 star hotels inclusive of flights and additional inclusions, such as transfers, meals, spa treatments and more.

The diversification into travel has been in the pipeline for six months, after internal search data reflected existing customer demand to complement existing categories of travel items, fashion and camping gear.

“We are always striving to offer the best value for MyDeal customers. Ignite Travel Group are a
market leader in packaging holidays that offer competitive pricing, and one of the most innovative in

the Australian market. As two fast growing and innovative businesses, this alignment was a no-brainer,”
said Sean Senvirtne, CEO of MyDeal.

The company’s diversification strategy involves supporting existing businesses in various industry verticals through its white label technology and two million customer base, rather than creating new offerings in hyper-competitive sectors.

“As an established and authentic marketplace, our priority since day one has been to support Australian businesses to succeed online. We will continue to do so if it aligns with the interests of MyDeal’s customers and offers them value,” Senvirtne said.

MyDeal Marketplace has experienced substantial growth in the past six months, growing the amount of new products added to the marketplace per month by 100 per cent from August onwards, and attracting established retailers to the platform including Kitchen Warehouse, Canningvale and Shaver Shop.

Through its ongoing expansion to drive sign ups, the marketplace continues to remain a leader in the number of verified sellers in Australia.
