Kiwi online retailer opens first store
The Homestyle Collective will open its first Christchurch store next week in Barrington Mall, Spreydon.
The e-commerce retailer’s first physical store will offer their contemporary blend of international and locally sourced homeware, kitchenware, art, jewellery and gifts to the local market.
“We are thrilled to be opening our new Christchurch store and to be able to play a part in the revitalisation of the city,” said owner Melissa Holland.
Holland grew up in Christchurch and said the recent acquisition of “The Cat’s Pyjama’s” business in Barrington Mall has allowed them to bring forward the opening of their first Christchurch store and that there is further expansion coming.
“We love Barrington Mall and felt it was a great fit for our brand,” said Holland. “And we’re not stopping there, in addition to this new store we are looking to have at least one more outlet in Christchurch within the next twelve months.”
Starting as web based store selling local crafts and jewellery the business has grown it’s supply chain and now includes modern and classic homewares and artwork.
“We want our customers to know that when they buy from The Homestyle Collective that they will be getting the best products at great prices. Repeat customers are one of the cornerstones of our business”.
The company sources brands including Moana Rd, Bialetti, Umbra, Anna Nova and UBU and also partners with local artists and manufacturers to give shoppers to access locally produced products. “We love working with talented people and helping them bring their products to market,” said Holland.
