Instagram launches InstaNight Shopping event in Australia
Instagram Australia launched the world’s first in-app InstaNight Shopping event Thursday night with the participation of more than 100 Aussie and global brands.
The InstaNight Shopping event took place on Instagram’s new Shop Tab feature, offering Aussies access to exclusive sales and hot deals. Joining brands include Hyundai Australia, Culture Kings, Kiehl’s and Nespresso, along with David Jones, Adore Beauty, Stylerunner and Oroton.
In recent years, Instagram has become a popular channel for a large number of brands promoting and selling their products. According to the company, more than 80 per cent of people in Australia said they have discovered new products and made purchasing decisions on Instagram.
The number of people checking products on Instagram has increased 60 per cent year-on-year in Australia.
