InnerOrigin to launch bricks-and-mortar in 2019
Online wellness business InnerOrigin has outlined plans to launch permanent bricks-and-mortar locations across Australia in 2019, with a pop-up in Manly, Sydney serving as a trial location.
The ‘Touch Learn Order’ (TLO) pop-up will enable customers to interact with and experience InnerOrigin’s product offering in person, and subsequently order items to be delivered to their door.
“After a year of market research, we have developed the TLO store model… because we believe people want the convenience of online, but they miss the experiential pleasure and accuracy that in store shopping provides,” InnerOrigin chief executive Sally-Anne Ferguson said.
“In a time when many retailers are struggling with the cost of rent and overheads, and online retailers are looking to bridge the gap to engage physically in person with their customers, we believe that our TLO retail stores are the solution to both challenges, and are the exact experience customers want.”
The pop-up enables customers to sample products from brands stocked online, and try beauty products under the direction of product experts.
The wellness business intends to expand to become a full omnichannel retailer, with flagship stores to open in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth during 2019, while continuing to sell online and via social media.
