EatClub launches table booking app for venues
Food tech startup EatClub has launched a new online table booking system called Open Table.
The app enables diners to book directly with a venue via Google, social media or on the venue’s website.
EatClub cofounder and CEO Pan Koutlakis describes the app as a “game-changer” for venues in Australia.
“Venues know there are economic and other intangible benefits of filling more seats at off-peak times.
“Consumers still want to dine out but many want to do it in a more cost-effective and diligent way. As interest rates bite, diners will increasingly look to platforms like EatClub to secure more affordable dining experiences.”
Koutlakis said venues with “intelligent dynamic pricing” strategies attract customers and it is economically beneficial to them.
