CommBank, BigCommerce partner to make e-commerce easier

Commonwealth Bank is partnering with e-commerce platform BigCommerce to make it easier for businesses to start up their online offer.

The partnership will provide Commonwealth Bank business customers with an integrated offering that can help them to establish their online presence using BigCommerce to make their websites, while also providing a stable payment solution and make it easier to get paid using Same Day Settlement.

“We’ve seen a rapid shift online, particularly in the past year, and this partnership will help our business customers more easily establish and expand their online business,” said Commonwealth Bank executive general manager for everyday business banking James Fowle.

“We know most business owners who are considering an online store think about building their website first and how they will take payments last. It’s important that we provide the best possible value to our customers and it’s through partnerships such as this that we can help our business customers achieve their goals.”

BigCommerce vice president and general manager for APAC Shannon Ingrey said that, now more than ever, merchants need to get their products in front of shoppers where they are buying – and that is increasingly online.

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our customers to have a broad omnichannel presence, and partnering with Australia’s leading bank provides greater opportunity for us to further support businesses in their efforts to strategically build, innovate and grow their online business,” said Ingrey.
