Australia Post goes national with free shipping offer
Australia Post has announced the national rollout of Shipster, making free shipping available to every household in the country just in time for holiday shopping.
Shipster provides free shipping on orders of $25 or more at over 50 of Australia’s biggest online stores. It costs $6.95 per month, but new sign-ups to the platform get the first two months free.
Chief customer officer at Australia Post Christine Corbett said the government postal services is thrilled to take the service nation-wide with just 32 shopping days left until Christmas.
“Shipster has really taken off with our customers who love to shop online, so we are incredibly excited to extend this to every household in time for Christmas.
“Regional Australians are regular online shoppers, with these households each receiving about nine parcels per year. Online shopping makes it easier to access the brands and products they love but don’t have locally, so no matter where you are, you can shop when you like and where you like without the hassle.
“This means we’re delivering free shipping to 11.6 million delivery points in Australia, so our hard working posties and drivers will be working around the clock to make this Christmas extra special.
“All you need to do is spend $25 and over to unlock free shipping from more than 50 of Australia’s biggest and most-loved retailers, it is that easy,” Corbett said.
