Marketplace aggregator adds support for Amazon in Australia

ChannelAdvisor, a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions, has announced a new  integration to help online retailers sell through Amazon Marketplace when it launches in Australia.

The move comes less than a week after ChannelAdvisor announced an integration for the newly launched Catch Marketplace.

“Like all channels, the right data is the key to success. Amazon is no different. Using that data allows retailers to know what the competition is doing and gain insights about their performance to drive strategy and leverage the opportunities available,” said Simon Clarkson, managing director of ChannelAdvisor Australia.

“Streamlining processes is also vital when it comes to marketplaces like Amazon. We have the tools to help retailers and brands list products, assist with order management and fulfilment, create customisable reports and improve seller reputation.”

ChannelAdvisor’s integration will enable retailers to launch, track and automate inventory from one central platform, eliminating duplicate product data and preventing potential overselling scenarios.

There has been much anticipation surrounding Amazon’s arrival in Australia for retailers and consumers alike. A Nielsen survey conducted earlier this year revealed that three-quarters of Australians aged 18 and above are interested in Amazon and 56 per cent say they are likely to buy from the Australian site.

The survey also found that electronics, books and clothing were the most likely products to be bought from Amazon.

“It’s all about working with our customers to leverage their presence, reach their strategic business goals and enhance the buying experience. We’re excited to support sellers on amazon.com.au,” said Clarkson.

“The potential for both retailers and consumers is huge.”

Also check out Highstreet.io (full disclosure, I work for them). We are working with many top European brands and retailers connecting them to eBay and Amazon marketplaces as well as digital marketing channels such as Google Shopping, Facebook, Retargeting services etc.
