Youfoodz becomes latest player in Australia’s burgeoning meal kit market

Australian meal delivery company Youfoodz has become the latest player to enter Australia’s burgeoning meal kit market.

In an email to its VIF (Very Important Foodie) customer base on Friday, Youfoodz revealed its new meal kit range, which promises cooking times of 15 minutes with minimal preparation.

Youfoodz Meal Kitz will officially launch this Thursday April 11, but the meal company has already made the range available to its VIF customers.

“At Youfoodz we’ve always believed in cooking because you want to – not because you have to,” the email read. “As a VIF (Very Important Foodie) we wanted you to be the first to try a better way to cook.”

The six-step recipes are designed by chefs to provide an easy cooking solution for consumers wanting fresh, convenient and healthy dinner options.

The four meal options currently available are Greek Lamb Salad with Toasted Pita, Chicken Stir Fry with Cashew Nuts, Sweet Paprika Chicken with Super Greens and Beef Fajita Wraps with Crunchy Slaw.

The popular food delivery service, which has been in operation since 2012, has built up a loyal social media following with its aesthetically pleasing foodie posts filling the feeds of over 120,000 Instagram users.

Similar to other meal kits on the market, Youfoodz is leveraging public concern for the environment and food waste, with the Meal Kitz range said to reduce grocery waste.

Currently the meal kit range is available for two persons only, at a cost of $19.95 or $67.95 for a pack of four.
