WineDepot partners with Ebay, Vivino to bring wine to the masses

Wine technology platform WineDepot has partnered with Ebay and Vivino to increase its customer reach ahead of its direct-to-trade launch.

Under the partnership, Australian wineries will be able to list their products on Ebay without having to set up an account or handle inventory and fulfilment. Instead, supplier products will be automatically uploaded on the shopping site via WineDepot Direct, a new platform that facilitates sales across multiple direct-to-consumer channels.

“Our suppliers are about to gain access to a vast consumer marketplace at very little cost to their time or resources,” said Dean Taylor, CEO at WineDepot.

“It’s a great deal for consumers as well who will be able to purchase simultaneously from multiple suppliers and, for many, receive delivery on the same or next day.”

Similar to the partnership with Ebay, via Direct, wineries will also be able to supply products on Vivino, the world’s largest online wine marketplace and mobile app.

“Hundreds of suppliers, representing thousands of premium wines from Australia and around the world, are already looking to WineDepot for logistics, inventory and payment solutions,” Taylor added.

Besides the partnerships, WineDepot will launch direct-to-trade platform WineDepot Market in Sydney next month and subsequently roll out in Melbourne and other parts of Australia later this year.
