The Iconic to double down on sports offer

ANZ’s online fashion platform The Iconic is doubling down on its sport category, appointing GM role for the sector. 

The company said in the past 12 months its sport category has recorded a significant growth, seeing an increase in assortment and amplifying marketing investment in full funnel integrated campaigns.

The Iconic has appointed Andrew Poole as its GM to oversee the sport sector and lead a cross-functional and customer-focused team. Poole has almost 30 years of experience in brand and performance management. Prior to The Iconic, Poole worked for Nike Australia in its e-commerce division. 

“The opportunity to apply my retail and e-commerce sports experience to a disruptive retailer like The Iconic makes this role an incredibly exciting prospect,” said Poole. 

“Our sports category is an integral part of our business,” said Gayle Burchell, chief category officer at The Iconic.

“We can’t wait for Andrew to bring his wealth of expertise as we deliver further strength to this category.”
