The Iconic appoints Sue Wood as COO

Online fashion and lifestyle retailer The Iconic has named Sue Wood as its new COO, effective October 1.

Wood joined the company in 2022 and is currently director of fulfilment operations. She has played a central role in strengthening the business’s fulfilment capability, refining warehouse performance, leading teams through peak seasons and advancing sustainable fulfilment practices.

Prior to her role at The Iconic, Wood was head of fulfilment at Catch.com.au and also held senior fulfilment and operations roles at Coles Group, Real Pet Food and Sainsbury UK.

“Sue is a highly experienced and widely respected leader, both within The Iconic and the broader retail industry,” said CEO Jere Calmes.

“Her operational expertise, deep understanding of our fulfilment network and commitment to our people make her exceptionally well placed to lead the next chapter of The Iconic’s operations.”

Wood will succeed Rostin Javadi, who has decided to pursue his next professional chapter after 14 years at Global Fashion Group, including four years as COO of The Iconic.

As COO, Rostin led the scaling of the company’s Yennora infrastructure, oversaw the 2024 transition of the order management and warehouse management Systems, and helped navigate significant shifts in retail demand and delivery innovation.

He will continue supporting the business through the end of December.

The Iconic reported a 3 per cent increase in revenue and a 53 per cent growth in EBITDA in the fiscal first half.
