Strong interest in collapsed furniture retailer Brosa

After falling into administration last week, the administrators of online furniture manufacturer Brosa say they have received interest from possible buyers.

Richard Tucker of KordaMentha said more than 30 approaches were made in the two days following the voluntary administration.

“The potential buyers have been given details of Brosa’s operations and they are doing their due diligence. We hope to have a deal in the next week before the first meeting of creditors,” said Tucker.

Buyers were particularly interested in Brosa’s internet capabilities and diverse consumer base, he said. Furthermore, he asked customers to be patient so that the administrators could focus on the plan to secure Brosa’s continued existence.

“We are assessing orders and stock so we can inform customers about their orders as soon as possible,” he said.

Brosa, went into administration, citing a drop in business since the lifting of Covid-19 regulations saw people return to shopping in physical locations.
