Stockland launches online marketplace expanding tenants’ reach
Australian property group Stockland has launched an online shopping platform called Stockland Marketplace.
The marketplace is described as an “online extension” to the local shopping centre and has been created in response to the company’s ongoing growth.
The website boasts an online shopfront with more than 33,000 products including brands such as Toymate, Just Sport, Blue Sky Kids Land and Ugg Express along with offerings from local retailers covering apparel, jewellery, perfumes and cosmetics, homewares and gifts.
Michelle Abbey, executive GM of Stockland’s retail business, said the marketplace will contribute to the growth of its retail business and strengthen the company’s partnerships with retailers.
“As the retail landscape continues to evolve, we recognise the importance of providing customers with a shopping experience that caters to their changing needs, seamlessly blending the convenience of e-commerce with the vibrant experience of a physical shopping centre.”
Customers can opt for click-and-collect or standard delivery or a combination of both when they shop on the platform. Various online-exclusive discounts and promotions will feature.
