Stylerunner founder nabs World Retail Award
Founder of Stylerunner, Julie Stevanja, has been named Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Retail Awards held in Dubai last week.
The award honours the new generation of entrepreneurs who have challenged and disrupted the long-established retail industry. Past winners of the category include founder and CEO of Missguided.com, Nitin Passi.
“Disruption is a driving force at Stylerunner – being recognised for this is a great honour,” said Stevanja. “To be awarded Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year and included in such a prestigious event as the World Retail Congress is an enormous compliment to our team.
“We’ve created a retail experience which is fresh, innovative and constantly pushing boundaries. I’m incredibly proud of that.”
The other Australian retailers nominated at the the awards Myer, The Good Guys, Kikki K and Shoes of Prey missed out in their respective categories.
