Pinterest launches shopping tools to help retailers reach more markets
Pinterest has launched a suite of international shopping tools to help Australian retailers scale shopping ads to more markets and reach global audiences easily.
According to the company, the new tools connect retailers’ underlying catalogue to market-specific experiences, making it easier to deliver relevant, localised shopping journeys without having to rebuild for each new market.
There are four key features: Country and language feeds, auto-localisation, global product groups, and a market overview dashboard.
Country and language feeds allow advertisers to localise product data, including price, currency, and language, without needing to clone their entire catalogue for every market.
Auto-localisation includes in-product auto-translation and auto-currency conversion, which help merchants activate new markets without the overhead of creating localised feeds from scratch.
Global product groups simplifies campaign management by allowing advertisers to run shopping campaigns across multiple countries from a single ad group, increasing signal density and optimisation speed.
The market overview dashboard provides new market-level insights in ads manager to help advertisers assess performance and prioritise expansion opportunities.
“By delivering the most flexible self-serve setup available on the platform, we’re making it significantly easier for exporters to grow from local market pilots to global reach,” said Greg Owens, VP of international at Pinterest.
“Businesses can now replicate their existing catalogue strategy while tapping into native AI-powered capabilities that streamline operations, reduce cost, and create more relevant shopping experiences for Pinterest users in their local language and currency,” he added.
