Paramount Liquor to launch online marketplace for wine and craft beer

Paramount Liquor is set to launch an online marketplace to expand its digital footprint and establish the company as a one-stop shop for premium wine and craft beer. 

The online platform aims to add 600 suppliers and 7500 products by 2025, with a focus on the wine and craft beer portfolios for the first 12 months.

Additionally, the company aims to extend to adjacent categories, with the long-term goal of adding products like glassware and hospitality cleaning items.

E-commerce company Mirakl, who partnered with Paramount on the marketplace project, said the platform was designed with ease of use for suppliers and customers in mind. 

“The vision and execution for the marketplace show a deep understanding of what the market needs: more selection, a simple experience, and the flexibility to respond to new demand,” said Tzipi Avioz, GM of Apac and global delivery for Mirakl.  

The online marketplace will offer suppliers access to a network of more than 10,000 active customers, complete inventory oversight, and Shopify integration, allowing distilleries who already use the platform to manage their orders directly.

Customers can access a wide range of independent, craft, and small-scale producers delivered with order tracking from door-to-door, directly from the supplier. 

“We know the current market is challenging, especially for suppliers, which is why our Marketplace will significantly benefit them,” said Nathan Rowe, CEO of Paramount Liquor. “Not only will it enable opportunities for new revenue streams, it will provide financial stability so sellers can concentrate more on growing their business.”

Paramount Liquor Australia distributes an extensive range of premium alcohol brands including Absolut Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky, Havana Club Rum, Beefeater Gin, and Patron Tequila, among others.
