One in three Aussies plan to boost online Christmas shopping this year

About 33 per cent of Australians expect to shop online more this holiday season, according to a survey by Cisco AppDynamics.

The survey, which interviewed 1000 consumers, showed that the consumers who are increasing their online shopping expect to make 72 per cent of their purchases online.

Participants also plan to do almost half (48 per cent) of their shopping digitally during the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

They explain online platforms offer more choices, help them avoid last-minute rush in physical stores, and provide flexibility to shop outside regular hours.

“The findings underscore Australian consumers’ increasing importance and reliance on online retail platforms.

“With the holiday season just around the corner, retailers have a significant opportunity to enhance their digital platforms and cater to the evolving needs of their customers,” said Cisco AppDynamics.
