Kogan’s NZ arm Mighty Ape tops customer services rankings

Kiwi online retailer Mighty Ape has risen from 10th to first place in the annual Kantar Customer Leadership Index, New Zealand’s leading assessment of the finest brands for customer experience. 

Skinny and Toyota rank second and third, respectively, with AA Insurance and Mitsubishi completing the top five.

Mighty Ape’s success, according to Kantar Customer Leadership, is built on its purchase and delivery experience, where it ranks first among all brands in any category. Mighty Ape’s strengths include making purchases simple through its digital platform and offering a delivery experience since it introduced its courier service, Jungle Express.

David Thomas, chief commercial officer of Kantar New Zealand, said Mighty Ape is an encouraging example of a local brand that is completely focused on providing outstanding client experiences.

“In other words, Mighty Ape anticipated a client problem and worked proactively to not only mitigate it but turn it into a competitive advantage that helps them deliver meaningfully different experiences to their customers.”

The other ranked brands are Skinny, Toyota, AA Insurance, Mitsubishi, Bunnings, My Food Bag, BNZ and Mitre.
