Kogan.com expands home appliance range

Pureplay online retailer Kogan.com has expanded its home appliance category with popular new brands, including Sunbeam, George Foreman, Morphy Richards, Kambrook and Lavazza.

Kogan.com currently offers over 20,000 products from a range of third-party and private label brands.

According to Adam Jackson, Kogan.com’s buying manager, the retailer’s strong growth over the past year has helped it expand the range of brands on offer.

“Australians have voted with their wallets by shopping at Kogan.com, and brands are paying attention. Just in the last 12 months we’ve had over 830,000 Aussies shop with us and brands love the opportunity to instantly talk to our growing audience.

“Our huge community of happy shoppers, combined with super fast dispatch and fulfilment, makes us a perfect partner for brands that have realised the internet is real and here to stay.”

In an earnings update last week, the retailer lifted its pro forma trading EBITDA to between $10.5-11.5 million for the 2017 financial year.

Sales of third-party domestic and international brands grew more than 50 per cent and generated 65 per cent of revenues in the first half of FY17.

Although private label brands accounted for only 31 per cent of revenues, they represented 53 per cent of Kogan.com’s gross profits.

The new home appliance brands available on Kogan.com are:

  • Sunbeam
  • George Foreman
  • Russell Hobbs
  • Morphy Richards
  • Kambrook
  • Lavazza
  • Heller
  • Bissell
  • Dimplex
