Home Depot launches creator portal to connect influencers with experts
The Home Depot has launched a creator-first platform designed to connect its experts with influencers to improve their content and enable future partnerships.
The platform, named The Home Depot Creator portal, allows creators to access content inspiration, campaign opportunities and expertise on home improvement, DIY projects and decor tips. It connects influencers with opportunities driven by The Home Depot brand, as well as its network of suppliers and products.
Creators can earn commissions through shoppable links, use tools to maximise content quality and track performance via the portal.
In addition to training resources, participants can benefit from storefront capabilities, special perks, product gifting and more.
“The Home Depot Creator portal isn’t just a website – it’s a community that drives meaningful engagement with current and future customers through talented personalities who give them confidence to tackle their home improvement projects,” said Molly Battin, senior VP and chief marketing officer at The Home Depot.
According to the company, thousands of creators have already enrolled, with applications now open to the public.
As the platform kicks off ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, the retailer is partnering with a group of standout creators, known as the Starting Lineup, to build excitement and passion for soccer’s biggest stage.
The lineup includes Dude Perfect, Trinity Rodman, Glam Dapper, DIY Huntress, Tony Henry, and Grill Dads, among others.
A roster of designers, home improvement experts, athletes, and pros was built to ensure each creator’s unique strengths and content style support a wide range of projects.
“We know our customers love sports, so we’re especially excited to launch this program with our Starting Lineup that will deliver tailored soccer content, such as how to transform your backyard for your own neighbourhood soccer matches and viewing parties,” Battin added.
The Home Depot recently reported a 2.8 per cent increase in net sales for the third quarter.
