Etsy partners with Sendle

Online marketplace Etsy is partnering with door-to-door delivery service Sendle.

The partnership, which came into effect this week, gives Etsy sellers a free Sendle Premium account (usually $120 per year) plus an extra $1 off every delivery for the next 12 months.

The pickup and delivery service gives Etsy sellers access to low, flat-rate pricing Australia wide.

“Our recent report into Etsy’s Australian community identified that the majority of our sellers are sole traders, female, under 35 and often have children with them at home,” said Helen Souness, Etsy Australia CEO.

“We recognise that for these people, dealing with deliveries takes up too much of their day. With Sendle’s door-to-door delivery service Etsy’s valued sellers will regain precious time as they no longer need to leave their house and line up to send their products to customers.”

Sendle is a 100 per cent carbon neutral delivery service and a certified B Corporation.

“Small business owners are at the heart of the Australian economy, and we are delighted to be partnering with Etsy to help them,” said Sendle CEO, James Chin Moody.

“Sendle was founded to create a simple, reliable and affordable parcel delivery service tailored exactly to this group – with door-to-door delivery cheaper than lining up at the post office.”
