Entries open for Retail Customer Excellence Awards

Australian online and omnichannel retailers are invited to enter the inaugural Retail Customer Excellence Award.

A collaboration between Association and Communications Events, organisers of the Total Retail & Payments EXPO and Inside Retail, the awards aim to reward brands which consistently deliver customer-centric experiences.

“We are experiencing a dynamic, ever evolving retail landscape where technology has taken centre stage,” said event manager, Catherine van der Meulen. “These awards shift the lime light to the people of the businesses who create lasting and memorable experiences for their customers every day.”

Entries are now open for the awards, which will be presented at a gala dinner in Melbourne on Wednesday, May 11. 

Nathan Huppatz from said that, no matter the size of your retail business or the platforms on which you operate, entering and winning awards offers numerous benefits.

“It has improved our profile in the industry, and made it possible to establish new relationships that have helped us grow the business. I would definitely recommend entering awards where possible as the exposure for yourself and your business can be great,” Huppatz said.

The 10 categories, announced last week, have been carefully selected to reflect changes in the industry, from online customer experience to the implementation of instore technology.

The awards organisers worked with Monash Business School and the Australian Centre for Retail studies to select categories which addressed the trends shaping retail in Australia and globally.

Awards submissions close on May 3 and judging will take place from April 4 to 5. The full list of Retail Customer Excellence Awards categories is below:
