Eight-month-old men’s swimwear brand joins The Iconic

Just eight months into trade, Vacay Swimwear is already off to swell start.

The Australian swimwear brand has joined an impressive suite of domestic and international brands stocked on the leading fashion site, The Iconic.

Head of menswear at The Iconic Tom Simpson said Vacay Swimwear caught his eye, despite its somewhat limited range.

“Vacay Swimwear is an amazing brand, it knows who it is and doesn’t over complicate things,” he said.

“Possessing basic prints in amazing shapes with added details, it is a great price point and relates well to the typical Australian man.”

Founded by Jordan Kallios (pictured above, right) and Corey Decandia (pictured above, left) in 2017, Vacay Swimwear currently offers one style of swim shorts in seven different prints, named after iconic holiday destinations, such as St. Tropez and Mykonos.

Instagram has played a critical role in the brand’s early success, and the co-founders say they will continue to build their business on an international scale.

But the early buy-in from The Iconic has been a welcome surprise, according to Decandia.

“We’ve both been avid shoppers on The Iconic and we have to pinch ourselves when we see Vacay Swimwear stocked amongst some of the biggest brands in the world,” he said.

For his part, The Iconic’s Simpson credited the co-founders’ passion as one of the reasons he signed the brand.

“It was the guys that made me want to stock the brand,” he said.

“Every brand that I bring onto The Iconic has to have a story. I met the guys and you could feel the passion and the enthusiasm for the brand – that’s what sold it for me, and it just so happened that the product was amazing as well!”
