Curvy pureplay Hear Us Roar sold

Curvy fashion pureplay Hear Us Roar has been sold, with founder Blaise McCann announcing the “life changing experience” on Linkedin.

“Every 18 hour day behind a laptop, shaking hands, streaming garments on a pop-up floor, negotiating contracts, hunting down investors and posting on social media every damn day was worth it,” McCann said.

“There were times when I was in serious despair, that I had nothing left in tank, that a customer was too honest or a supplier too harsh, [and] there were times I questioned the very existence of the business.”

It isn’t clear who the business was sold to, how much it sold for, or what the future of the brand looks like under its new leadership.

Sales, operations and partnership manager Karina Bruce also shared the news online, stating revealed she will be moving on to work at Country Road Group following the sale.

“It’s been an incredible journey to which I have learnt and experienced so much,” Bruce said.

“This is what every founder dreams of – having the validity that what you achieved has value in the broader market.
