Booktopia, VitalSource partner to launch a digital textbook feature
Pureplay books retailer Booktopia has partnered with education technology platform VitalSource to launch a digital textbook service.
Booktopia customers can now access digital textbooks via VitalSource’s e-reader platform – Bookshelf – which also offers a full suite of built-in study tools to enhance the studying experience.
Booktopia stocks a range of textbooks in every subject or field within higher education and vocational groups. E-text are available immediately.
Booktopia’s acting CEO, Geoff Stalley, said VitalSource provides “unparalleled resources” for students around the world and has set the bar worldwide for its technology capabilities.
Alice Duijser, the international MD of VitalSource, said having an etext option will “positively impact” millions of students who use Booktopia to purchase their textbooks.
Students can also use Bookshelf’s other features such as highlighting, note-taking, flashcards and a free practice feature with immediate feedback to boost their confidence.
