Australian startup AirRobe appoints ex-LMVH executive as GM

Australian re-commerce startup AirRobe has landed Beth Glancey as GM and head of partnerships.

Glancey joins the company from her previous role as the GM of Sephora ANZ from the luxury conglomerate LMVH.

After the launch of the Australian website The Iconic last year, AirRobe has seen strong growth in online fashion brands attracting millennial and Gen Z shoppers. AirRobe’s circular wardrobe provides fashion retailers to show customers the resale value of a purchase upfront and resell, rent or recycle their goods with a click.

AirRobe CEO Hannon Comazzetto said Glancey’s leadership, talent and energy will be pivotal in achieving scale across Australia and New Zealand.

Comazzetto said the brand’s circular wardrobe solution works for all sizes of retailers as it provides a sustainable boutique of contemporary brands, all sharing the platform.

“There is a rapid shift in consumer values towards sustainability and conscious consumption as people are becoming hyper-aware of the impact of fashion on landfills. We are building the infrastructure for the circular economy – in a way that benefits retailers, their customers and the environment,” she said.

Glancey said she was “drawn” to AirRobe’s mission and its approach to partnering with retailers to kickstart a circular economy for fashion.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and skills to a startup that is genuinely moving the fashion industry in a positive direction.”
