Aussie entrepreneur creates ‘Uber for beauty, fitness and massage’

Australians can now arrange beauty services using the online platform bemyfreelancer.com without having to call shops and coordinate their hectic schedules.

Bhawna Singh, who has worked in banking, finance, superannuation, and project management, founded BeMyFreelancer, aiming to help customers book the services they want, when they want, and without paying a premium fee.

“At the age of 35, with zero prior experience, I embarked on the journey of creating BeMyFreelancer while still working full-time in financial services,” said Singh.

“The inspiration behind the vision was straightforward. Living in this ‘side hustle’ culture, I noticed people seeking additional work beyond their existing commitments, driven by passion and purpose. I noticed then that there was a lack of a recognisable brand in freelancing synonymous with beauty, fitness, or massage industries, all encompassed within one health and wellness platform.”

This comprehensive platform enables users to look for local freelancing specialists in the beauty, massage, and fitness industries. Alternatively, if a user has a job in mind, they can post it and choose from the freelancers that respond.
