Animation studio Laika has launched an online store
Animation studio Laika unveiled its online store on National Black Cat Day (October 27) to provide animation enthusiasts with a central hub to purchase the latest Coraline cat character items.
The Coraline soundtrack vinyl record, a cat plush doll with poseable neck and tail, a line of clothes featuring the Laika’s logo, and other products sourced from Portland-based small businesses including paint-by-number kits, candles, and jewelry are all made available to fans worldwide through the store.
In addition, Laika offers another shopping experience by including behind-the-scenes information about Laika’s films on its website, which helps fans discover more about the brand.
David Burke, chief marketing and operations officer of Laika, says that bringing an exclusive and expanded merchandise collection deeply rooted in craftsmanship and inspired storytelling is a central focus for Laika.
“This expansion is a seamless extension of our licensing efforts, and a direct response to demand from Laika’s devoted fandom,” added Burke.
Laika has kept stop-motion animation alive through its advanced visual effects and handcrafted artistry. Over the years, fans have purchased exclusive merchandise at the studio’s onsite events.
