Amazon to invest $7 million in Ravenhall logistics centre

Amazon will invest over $7 million in the opening of a new Ravenhall logistics site in Victoria.

The 8800sqm warehouse will be the e-commerce giant’s fourth logistics site in the state and its 13th in Australia.

It is being constructed at Dexus’ Horizon 3023 estate, close to the proposed Western Intermodal Freight Terminal.

“The Ravenhall logistics site enables us to grow our contribution to the local economy through the creation of jobs and flexible earning opportunities and we look forward to building on our strong relationship with the local community,” said Sandra McNeil, director of operations at Amazon Australia.

Once operational, Amazon Flex partners will pick up packages at the Ravenhall logistics site that are transported from Amazon fulfilment centres and deliver them to customers.
