Aldi brings Special Buys to DoorDash as partnership strengthens

Supermarket chain Aldi’s Special Buys range will be available to DoorDash customers in Victoria from tomorrow (January 7). It will roll out to most Aldi locations across Australia from January 21.

Since joining the DoorDash delivery platform last year, Aldi has seen success selling its grocery products on DoorDash. Now, with Special Buys, Aldi will be introducing its back-to-school range to the service.

“It was always our ambition to bring as much of the Aldi shopping experience customers know and love us for to on-demand delivery via DoorDash,” Simon Padovani-Ginies, group director at Aldi Australia, said.

As with in-store operations, Aldi’s Special Buys range will be available on the DoorDash app on Wednesdays and Saturdays for a limited time, while stocks last.

“Aldi’s famous middle aisle and its unique products have long drawn shoppers to Aldi stores on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, thanks to its wide range of high-quality and limited-time products at great value across a variety of categories,” Simon Rossi, VP of DoorDash Apac, added.

“Now these products will be conveniently available to customers for the first time ever, through on-demand delivery, thanks to DoorDash.”
