Innisfree brings affordable beauty online

Korean cosmetics business Innisfree launched its dedicated online store on Wednesday, allowing its customers to shop a wide range of makeup and body-care goods.

The site offers free shipping with purchases over $65, and will include free samples with every order.

Nikki Novakovic, marketing and communications lead at Innisfree Australia, said the e-commerce offer was the natural next step for the business, which has launched 12 stores since 2018.

“The opening of a local e-commerce platform means innisfree customers can shop best sellers from all over the country and be a part of the innesfree community directly,” Novakovic said.

Like many brands, the business shuttered its bricks-and-mortar stores during the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic, which could have pushed the development of an online offer into high gear.

The global beauty brand is known for its affordable skincare and makeup and environmental awareness, and claims to have collected and recycled over 15 million empty bottles since 2003 and planted over 79,000 of trees globally.

Innisfree’s products are made utilising natural ingredients grown in the volcanic soil on Korea’s Jeju Island.
