Australia Post set to deliver record 20 million V-Day parcels
Australia Post is expecting to deliver over 20 million parcels leading up to Valentine’s Day – 6.7 per cent more than last year.
The national delivery network says it is managing a high volume of items, including flowers, wine, jewellery, and apparel.
To support this surge, the organisation collaborates with business customers to analyse forecasts and ensure a reliable delivery process for shoppers.
“Valentine’s Day is always a special time of the year at Australia Post, and our teams work hard to make sure every heartfelt gift arrives exactly when it’s meant to,” said Chelsea O’Reilly, Australia Post’s GM.
“We work closely with our business customers to understand their forecasts and identify the best ways we can support them, ensuring their shoppers enjoy a smooth, reliable delivery experience right to their doorstep,” said O’Reilly.
StarTrack Courier is scheduled to complete an estimated 4000 same-day deliveries nationwide tomorrow, Saturday.
One company, florist Mr Roses, says February sales are equivalent to two full months of revenue.
“The challenge is that this entire extra month’s worth of orders must be delivered on a single day,” said James Stevens, CEO and founder.
