 Aussie business Natives Co wins international online retailer award

An Australia-based online retailer has won the Online International Retailer of the Year in the 2022 Beauty Independent Beacon Awards in a ceremony held on 14 September.

The Natives Co., founded in 2019 by Sydney-based sisters Vanessa Noy and Leesa Gibbs, which offers ethical, natural and organic skincare, haircare and wellness products, overcame the best online retailers from around the world to win the prize.

The award recognises The Natives Co.’s efforts to bring together eco-conscious consumers and brands through their eCommerce store with the help of emerging technologies, fast-tracked enhanced online customer experiences, and for taking new, innovative clean beauty options into more homes across Australia.

“The chance to be a part of the Beacon Awards is a thrilling opportunity, and we are very excited at the prospect of expanding our voice and inviting new conversations with a like-minded community,” Noy said.

According to the organisers, the Online International Retailer award is a recognition of the market leader outside of the US “whose exemplary execution of a clearly defined retail concept and effective strategies benefit consumers, brands and the world at large while operating as a successful business. Innovative digital strategies, unique brand curations, effective external communications and global reach are enabling these online international platforms to elevate the conversation around beauty and the use of beauty products”.
