Amazon takes on 1000 staff to handle mid-year sales season

Amazon Australia plans to onboard 1000 seasonal workers for its mid-year sales season, staffing logistics sites and fulfilment centres across the country.

Seasonal workers with a range of skills and experience will be hired to pick, pack, sort and ship customer orders at Amazon sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Amazon Australia’s director of operations, Mindy Espidio-Garcia, said the retailer would provide on-the-job training hence work experience is not required.

Those who want the flexibility to work and earn extra money can sign up with Amazon Flex and choose delivery block times that suit their schedules each week.
