Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon Australia adds 600 seasonal jobs

Amazon Australia plans to hire 600 seasonal workers across its fulfilment and logistics networks, supporting the mid-year sales season for Prime members in July.
“As we prepare for one of our biggest shopping events of the year, we’re excited to welcome hundreds of seasonal workers to our sites across our Australian operations network,” said Jacqui Marker, Amazon Australia’s HR director of operations.
Tasked primarily with picking and packing orders, the seasonal team members will help maintain prompt nationwide delivery speeds for customers across a vast range of eligible products and also can be potential entry points for long-term careers.
“Not only will members be able to access epic deals on a huge range of products during the sale event, but also the incredible benefits a membership brings, including fast, free delivery on millions of products, exclusive offers,” said Arno Lenior, Amazon Australia’s Apac director of Prime.
Last year, the company stopped using single-use plastic in deliveries.
