Klika Group posts growth in annual sales

E-commerce group Klika has announced growth in annual sales and the launch of a standalone website for its PowerTrain brand.

The company’s six-year-old brand PowerTrain has enjoyed a significant customer following in the online retail space, according to the e-tailer, and has delivered close to a million products to households in Australia and New Zealand since it was launched.

Putting up a standalone website was the next step.

Klika, which sells fitness and household products on its private label platforms, has posted a 30 per cent rise in annual website sales.

The e-commerce group, which operates Klika.com.au, Kahunaplay.com.au and Dropsite.com.au and now Powertrain.com.au, said it has a wide reach across most major Australian and New Zealand online marketplaces.

Company director of operations Leo Zaitsev said the business has also “successfully reverse engineered the traditional wholesale business model”, creating what he refers to as “e-wholesale business.”

“We supply products and brands, which we have created, to other e-tailers with the additional service of delivering the products directly to their customers,” Zaitsev said.

This has allowed us to bridge the gap with quality and affordable products in a price sensitive environment, without the need for costly and intangible above the line marketing, and overheads.”

Zaitsev said Klika will soon expand into activewear, which it aims to launch before the end of the year.
