VP Constant Contact joins Big Commerce

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Eric Groves, former SVP at Constant Contact joins the board of BigCommerce, the world’s fastest growing e-commerce platform.
Eric Groves, former Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Development & Innovation at the largest email marketing software provider for small businesses, Constant Contact, has joined the BigCommerce board to help the company through its next growth phase.
Mr. Groves built the sales, business development, educational programs, and channel partner departments from the ground up, helping propel Constant Contact’s growth to more than 400,000 customers, $175MM in revenue and an initial public offering in 2007.

Mr. Groves said the opportunity to join the BigCommerce board was one he couldn’t pass up.
“BigCommerce reminds me a lot of the most exciting times at Constant Contact.  They have an incredible product, are scaling the customer base at an incredible clip and the work environment is electric.  I am looking forward to helping them continue to build on the terrific foundation the team has built,” Mr. Groves said.

Eric has more than 20 years of experience building sales, business development, online, and marketing strategies for leading companies. Prior to Constant Contact he was the Executive Director of Worldwide Sales & Business Development at AltaVista, a provider of search services and technology. Eric has also held leadership positions at iAtlas Corp. InfoUSA® Inc., MFS Communications, SBC Communications (now AT&T), and Citicorp (now Citigroup Inc.).
BigCommerce also recently announced that its e-commerce platform powers over 20,000 online stores which have processed over $350 million in sales.
