Sweat app maker Pixelforce invests in Designerex
Pixelforce, the company that built Kayla Itsines’ and Tobi Pearce’s Sweat app, has invested in Designerex and entered into a technology partnership with the company.
Designerex is a pureplay peer-to-peer renting platform, enabling consumers to purchase a dress from a luxury brand and then rent it out through the app.
“Pure play P2P renting is on-demand and extremely time sensitive which means there are a lot of technical applications and know-how to creating a seamless end-to-end experience for consumers,” said Designerex co-founder Kirsten Kore.
Under the new partnership, Designerex will gain technical knowhow ahead of its next capital raise, which it hopes will fund growth in the US and expansion into the UK and Europe.
“The partnership with Pixelforce will bolster our proprietary technology and fast-track our execution to scale globally and continue to innovate,” said Designerex co-founder Costa Koulis.
Hinney Lo, Pixelforce MD, added that having successfully worked with the likes of Sweat, “we could instantly see the growth potential and market opportunity with Designerex and look forward to being an integral part of their tech and business journey”.
