SmartTrans launch Chinese marketplace

ASX-listed software technology company SmartTrans has launched a Wechat-based ecommerce marketplace to sell Australian products to consumers in China.

Dodoca RooLife is targeting 100 brands in the next 12 months, with foundation brands already available including Burlee Ugg boots, Morelife, Tim Adams Wines and Olive Oil Skin Care.

The venture is a partnership between SmartTrans and Shangai Information Technology Co. All marketing and promotional expenses, as well as profits, will be split evenly between the two companies.

A full scale promotional campaign will commence after Chinese New Year when consumer spending patterns are expected to return to normal.

The company also announced the addition of a new group chief operating officer (COO) and CEO of China Operations. Effective immediately, Brendan Mason will join SmartTrans to spearhead their move into the Chinese market
