Shein X brings digital creator Maalavidaa to fashion with a unique capsule collection
Online fast-fashion retailer Shein has released a collection in partnership with digital artist Maalavidaa under the Shein X brand, that supports independent artists and designers.
The Maalavidaa x Shein X collection features brightly coloured apparel for women and men. It includes athletic-inspired shell jackets and leggings, vibrant, flowy mesh dresses, T-shirts, crop tops, and shorts.
Shein says the collection “seamlessly fuses Maalavidaa’s signature aesthetic, a fine balance between contrast and saturation”, with Shein’s trendy fashion pieces, in vibrant colours and abstract prints.
Maalavidaa says teaming with Shein X has allowed her to take her designs to a new medium and audience.
“I loved designing my own collection and bringing my art to life through fashion. We hope that this collection inspires others to unleash their creativity and view fashion as a means of expressing their true selves.”
Maalavidaa uses colour to “explore the complexity of emotions and one’s uniqueness” through her fashion-forward collection.
Shein X aims to help artists explore originality and to make unique designs more accessible to customers worldwide. Since launching in 2021, the label has helped more than 4600 brands, artists, creatives and designers to launch more than 41,000 original creations to consumers worldwide.
Shein helps guide artists and independent brands through the process of bringing their ideas to life, from product development and manufacturing to marketing and supply chain logistics.
