Pet Parlour bills itself as Australian cryptocurrency trailblazer
Online retailer Pet Parlour claims to have become Australia’s first pet shop to accept cryptocurrency, partnering with Coinbase.
Pet Parlor’s customers can now pay for their purchase by Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dai, Ethereum or Litecoin without extra cost. Transactions can be completed via Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or Afterpay.
“Our approach is unique in the Australian market,” said Tom Sadler, founder of Pet Parlour. “We wanted to offer our customers every possible payment solution. By offering multiple payment options we are aiming for a frictionless customer experience.”
Launched in Australia this month, Pet Parlour offers products from major brands, including Royal Canin, Ivory Coat, Purina and Hypro Premium.
The retailer also has its own brand under the name Fur King, and is currently looking to partner with a dog charity, contributing a share of sales towards animal welfare.
