Online fashion label appoints ex-DJs, Target exec

Brisbane-based fashion label, BlackMilk Clothing, has appointed ex-David Jones and Target Australia exec Sally Osburn as its new CEO.

BlackMilk founder James Lillis said the appointment would give the brand the impetus it needed to take the company into the next phase of rapid growth.

“This is a really pivotal time for BlackMilk,” he said.

“We recognised the need for this newly-created position. We have come a long way, fast and look to secure our future strategy to ensure the sustainable growth of our business in this ever changing retail landscape.”

Osburn has over 20 years experience in the fashion retail industry, predominantely spent at major brands including David Jones and subsequently running the approximately $1 billion underwear, footwear, accessories and beauty division at Target.

“I look forward to working with the founding team and the challenges that come with taking this company to the next level,” said Osburn.

The fashion label has over 1.7 million social media followers across several platforms where it markets itself as a fast-growing and international label.
